Despite reaching a ceasefire agreement with Palestine in January, Israel has launched another round of ground operations in Gaza violating the agreement. Latest report by Palestinian authorities shows that at least 50,000 palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces till now, and almost the entire Gaza strip has turned into ruins due to the attacks. The nature of Israeli violence proves that they have planned to force Gaza residents to leave the area so that Israel can take over the whole place and ensure Israeli control over the Middle East without any challenge. We cannot let this happen.
We strongly condemn recent Israeli attacks on the people of Palestine and urge the global superpowers to take necessary steps to put an end to this violence. We specially call upon the Muslim world to set aside their ideological differences and be united to save Gaza from perishing in front of our eyes.
The Palestine-Israel conflict cannot be solved without stopping US from aiding Israel. To do this, other superpowers like Russia and China should exert their influence on the global stage to avert US from supporting Israel’s mission. Besides, oil-rich countries like Saudi Arabia and gas exporters like Qatar should stop exporting energy to the US to mount pressure on them. Nuclear powers like Pakistan and regional power like Iran can also come to the aid of Palestine by threatening Israel and US with retaliations.
Israel alone does not have any power. All the power that Israel wields in the region is supported by the United States. Since the unjustified birth of Israel in the heart of the Middle East in 1948, US governments have been supporting the tiny nation with cash, arms and other measures. While Israel wants a land full of only Jewish people, the US wants control over the middle east. As a result, US has been using Israel as a satellite to fulfill its own needs.

All in all, an all out non-cooperation with the US is needed to make them realise their mistakes and prevent them from inflicting further suffering on the Palestinian people.
As Bangladesh is a tiny country without any major significance on the global stage, we can do nothing to stop Israeli aggression on the Palestinians except protesting and requesting the global superpowers to exert pressure on Israel and US. It was good to see that hundreds of people came out on the streets on Monday to protest the recent round of Israeli attacks on Gaza. But we were disheartened when we saw that a section of those who had taken to the streets supporting Palestine had vandalised and looted business establishments like Bata at various places across the country.
Anger on Israel can be justified, but no one can justify vandalism and looting, which are itself crimes. One crime cannot beget another crime, and if this is the case, then not only Israel but we Bangladeshis will also be viewed as criminal and a country filled with people without any moral grounds.
We call upon the Bangladeshi people to express their anger peacefully through movements, not by ruining the business of others. Also, we urge the people of this country to refrain from believing fake news regarding Israeli products and companies operating here and double check the facts so that no innocent people or establishment is hurt by the outburst of anger.
May we come to realise that importance of peace and the negative side effects of violence, both in Palestine and in Bangladesh.
